Pokemon Go makes Cebuanos On the Go!

Pokemon Go makes Cebuanos On the Go!

After the game Pokemon Go hit the world by storm, the game has also gained enormous appreciation in the Philippines when it launced this August 2016.

Pikachu is an electric type Pokemon and is considered to be the most iconic Pokemon of all time. For those who followed the Pokemon series, Pikachu has left a significant mark in the lives of its avid fans being the main protagonist of the Pokemon tv series.

Pokemon Go Lure Party at SM City Cebu

With the massive popularity of the game, Cebu has organized events to gather all avid users of the game. The event was dubbed as Pokemon Go Lure Party.

The event sponsored by SM City Cebu took place last August 12, 13, & 14 at SM North Wing Atrium. Some cosplayers dressed up to get a chance to win exciting prizes.

Pokestops were installed where players can catch their favorite Pokemon.

For Pokemon fans, the game Pokemon Go is a way to make new friends." It also bonds us with our childhood and our feelings", says one fan.

Pokemon Go is another milestone game from Nintendo under the company, Niantic, based in Japan.

Rationale of the Game Pokemon Go

The game is truly addicting as players around the world get the opportunity to hunt, catch, and train virtual Pokemon in real world. With the use of Google maps, the locations of Pokemon are revealed and users can also search Pokemon shops or PokeStops. Players will have to travel to physically catch Pokemons which have designated coordinates in their specific location in the real world.

Pokemon Go's release was a huge success with a reported revenue of over $35 million. As of writing the game has already reached 30 million downloads.

Android and iOS users can download the game through Google Play and from the Apple App Store respectively.

Together with the Philippine's launching, the game was also released in other countries like Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Taiwan, Papua New Guinea, Fiji, Solomon Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, and Palau.

Some pointers to take note about the game so as not to spoil your enjoyment while playing.

In Cebu, a court judge has reminded persons attending hearings or visiting her sala to avoiding Playing Pokemon Go so as not to disturb the official functions of her office or while conducting hearings. She has warned violators of contempt of court. Ouch, that seems scary to know.

Few important reminders are given to those who play Pokemon Go though:

1. Avoid playing the game while on the road driving or crossing the streets.

2. Make sure to use pedestrian lanes and footbridges for safe crossing on streets.

What players to expect next?

A device called Pokemon GO Plus is on the works. This companion smartwatch device will vibrate and light up in times you get to a location where there is a Pokemon. Through the help of this Pokeball-themed device, Pokemon Go users will find it easy to catch a Pokemon, the main objective of Pokemon Go.

Boating around the Ship House in Bogo City

Boating around the Ship House in Bogo City

At this nipa hut over the waters, we enjoyed long hours of talks conversing about anything above water and under the sun. This was a memorable experience visiting our friend in Bogo City for a very special occasion.

As we prepare for dinner, we just needed to have a boat fetch us from here and tour around the Ship House to enjoy its 360 view.

Finally, the group were extremely happy and excited for the boating experience around the Ship House in Bogo City. The boat just docked for a while at this floating nipa hut.

Boating is of course a lot of fun with friends.

During the short trip, we had posed several times for an enjoyable and unique groufie experience.

Above, the ship house stands so beautifully under the clear skies.

Upon our arrival at the boat house, we were billeted and served a delicious dinner buffet. Thanks to our friends from here.
